IN CONVERSATION WITH LELAND FAUST


 

Leland H. Faust is a graduate of the University of California, Berkeley (B.A. Economics with Great Distinction) and an honors graduate of the Harvard Law School where he was an instructor in U.S. Income Taxation. He was certified for more than 3D years as a specialist in Taxation Law by the California State Bar of Legal Specialization and has lectured extensively on tax and financial matters. He is also the co-author of Personal Tax Planning a book published by the Continuing Education of the Bar. In 1978, he began his career in Financial Management as Founder and Chairman of CSI Capital Management. There, he served as Chief Investment Counsel for over $1.5 billion in assets. Barron's has named Leland to its annual list of the Top 100 Mutual Fund Managers and in 2007 through 2010 to its list of the Top 100 Independent Investment Advisers in the country.  Because of his extensive work with professional athletes, Leland has been named by The Sporting News to its list of "100 Most Powerful People in Sports", one of the only two investment advisers ever named to that list.
